Jean Paul Stube

Bayreuth, Bayern

One small room, the poet's parlour where Jean Paul sat almost daily from about 1805 to 1825, survives here in its original form. It is in the Rollwenzelei, a former toll house on Königsallee in Bayreuth, where the innkeepers Rollwenzel let him use it. The parlour is said to be probably the smallest museum in Germany.
