Izba Drukarstwa

Lublin, lubelskie

The House of Words, formerly the Chamber of Printing, occupies a townhouse at Żmigród 1, next to the 17th-century Pociej palace. It stands on the site of the pre-war Popularna printing house, whose customers included the poets Józef Łobodowski and Franciszka Arnsztajnowa, and which printed underground brochures during the occupation. Visitors learn about old printing techniques and the history of Lublin printing, alongside a programme devoted to the written word, poetry and art.
