Heimatverein Borkum – Heimatmuseum

Borkum, Niedersachsen

Close to the Old Lighthouse, the Dykhus local museum occupies a listed East Frisian Gulf house from the early 19th century. The single-storey brick building stands on a raised mound at the foot of the first dyke built on Borkum. It was a family home until it became a museum in 1958. The building itself is part of what there is to see.
