Heimatmuseum Verrückte Schule

Bad Tabarz, Thüringen

A half-timbered house from 1784 holds this local history museum in Cabarz, part of Bad Tabarz. It was once the village school, and in 1899 it was moved more than four metres to its present spot beside the church, which explains the name Verrückte Schule, the Moved (or Crazy) School. Among the exhibits is a weathervane bearing the date 1784.
