Heimatmuseum Geschichtsverein

Down in the basement of the old bakehouse on Kirchgasse, this local museum traces the history of Steinbach. It starts with archaeology: Neolithic finds show people settled here around 5000 BC, with further finds from the Hallstatt and Roman periods. Boundary stones are on show too, including a property marker from 1687, one of the town's oldest. The story then continues through the town's history in photographs, documents and other exhibits.
