Frankfurt has two fire service museums, each run by a museum association. One stands on the Old Airfield in Bonames, in a former building of the US military airfield, and covers fire fighting in Germany generally. The other is devoted solely to Frankfurt's own fire brigades. Both show historic fire engines, equipment and documents.
