Heimatmuseum Bergen-Enkheim

Frankfurt am Main, Hessen

Housed in Bergen-Enkheim's old town hall, this local history museum tells the story of the district. The vaulted cellar holds farm tools, including some used for making apple wine. On the ground floor, once an open market and court hall, a diorama of 2,260 painted tin soldiers recreates the Battle of Bergen on Good Friday 1759. You will also find a model of the Spilhus with historical photos, a sandstone coat-of-arms from 1671 and an official's tomb.
