Ten thousand years of Offenbach's history, from the Stone Age to the present, are laid out here. The museum occupies the Bernardbau, a former tobacco factory completed in 1896 and a striking piece of historicist industrial architecture on the Rhine-Main Industrial Heritage Route. The exhibition design comes from Offenbach's University of Art and Design.
