Deutsches Ledermuseum

Offenbach am Main, Hessen

Everything about leather: the collection holds over 30,000 pieces from many cultures and eras, from everyday and luxury goods to crafts, fashion and ethnographic objects. Some exhibits are believed to be more than 3,000 years old. Offenbach was once an important centre of the leather goods trade, and the collection began in 1917 as teaching material for its craftspeople.
