Heimat- und Torfmuseum Gröbenzell

Gröbenzell, Bayern

This museum shows how people lived in Gröbenzell when the settlement was founded, with a focus on peat cutting in the surrounding moors. Peat was an important fuel, and the work was gruelling, with children sometimes pitching in. You will also learn about the local goat breed, the hornless goat, and see a full-size reconstruction of a living room from the old Möslerhäuser. A lift gives step-free access.
