Bezirksmuseum Dachau

Dachau, Bayern

Some 2,000 items tell the story of the town of Dachau and its surrounding district, beyond its well-known twentieth-century history. Themes range from crafts and bourgeois home life to farmhouse interiors, the local Dachau costume, popular piety and superstition. It is a museum of Upper Bavarian cultural history and folk life, housed in the former electoral Kastenamt.
