Heimat- und Palitzschmuseum Prohlis

Dresden, Sachsen

A former farmstead surrounded by high-rise blocks, the listed Palitzschhof is the only surviving farm of old Prohlis village. The museum traces some 7,000 years of settlement in the district and honours the local farmer and naturalist Johann George Palitzsch, who was the first to spot Halley's Comet in 1758.
