Heimat- und Bergbaumuseum Erbendorf

Erbendorf, Bayern

Housed in a former monastery, this museum tells the story of Erbendorf and its mining past. Five rooms show finds from the region's lead and coal mines and a large mineral collection made up entirely of local pieces. You will also see miners' equipment, uniforms, lamps, drill cores, photographs and the miners' banner. Mining here is documented from the early 13th century.
