Haus Koekkoek

Kleve, Nordrhein-Westfalen

The Dutch landscape painter Barend Cornelis Koekkoek lived in this house in Kleve with his family. Today it is a specialist museum for Dutch Romantic painting centred on Koekkoek and his circle. The listed building on Koekkoekplatz has served as a museum since 1960 and gives a sense of where the nineteenth-century painter lived and worked.
