Hammerschmiede Schwabsoien

Three tail hammers still stand in this old hammer mill, driven by an undershot-style water wheel on a small tributary of the Schönach. A grinding mill, a spring hammer and a lathe also still work. The museum adds historical tools and an account of the forge, first mentioned in 1415 and once owned by St. Mang monastery in Füssen.
