Hafenmuseum
Hamburg, Hamburg
The protected quayside shed 50 on Hamburg's Hansahafen holds a display store full of objects from shipbuilding and cargo handling. Outside, partly working port equipment stands about, including van carriers, quay cranes and vehicles of the old harbour railway. Historic harbour vessels lie at the quay, among them a coal-fired floating steam crane. It is a hands-on look at the work of Germany's biggest port.
