Automuseum Prototyp
Hamburg, Hamburg
Early Porsche designs and German sports and racing cars from the post-war years are the heart of this private car museum in Hamburg's Speicherstadt. It also tells the story of the designers and drivers who revived racing after 1945, such as Otto Mathé and Petermax Müller. On display are self-built prototypes, record cars and even modern formula cars, with particular attention to the Volkswagen, the technical basis of many early racers.
