Glasmuseum Dorotheenhütte Wolfach

Wolfach, Baden-Württemberg

Glass is still made here: the Dorotheenhütte is the last working glassworks in the Black Forest, where mouth-blowers produce glass and lead crystal by hand. The museum belongs to the works, founded in 1947, and tells the story of the region's glassmaking. After the war, Silesian glass cutters came to Wolfach, followed later by skilled workers from Portugal.
