Gedenkstätte Deutscher Widerstand

Berlin, Berlin

The Bendlerblock is where Stauffenberg and other plotters of 20 July 1944 were shot, and today it holds a memorial to German resistance against the Nazis in all its forms. The exhibition in the building's east wing shows how varied that resistance was, and includes a display on the quiet heroes who helped the persecuted. The memorial also covers the Plötzensee execution site and a museum in Otto Weidt's former workshop for the blind in Mitte.
