The Gedenkhalle commemorates the victims of Nazi persecution. Its permanent exhibition, redesigned in 2010, covers Oberhausen's history between 1933 and 1945 and forced labour in the Ruhr region under the Nazis. It also runs workshops and projects and looks after the city's Stolpersteine installations.
