Galerie výtvarného umění v Ostravě

Housed in Ostrava's Dům umění, this gallery of fine art was set up in 1952 and grew from the collection of the builder and art collector František Jureček. Visitors will mostly find changing exhibitions of contemporary and classical art, plus a permanent display about the Dům umění itself. The collections were expanded considerably from the 1960s onward.
