Galeria Szyb Wilson

Janów-Nikiszowiec, śląskie

The old pithead building and miners' bathhouse of the Wilson shafts, part of the Wieczorek colliery in the workers' district of Janów-Nikiszowiec, now house a contemporary art gallery. Inside the industrial halls, whose history goes back to 1826, you will find work by Polish and international artists, with a focus on young names. With nearly 2,500 square metres of exhibition space, it is the largest private art gallery in Poland. Concerts, theatre and workshops are also held here.
