A branch devoted to the city's ethnology, set in the early twentieth-century workers' estate of Nikiszowiec. It began in 1996 as a residents' initiative collecting keepsakes linked to Katowice's eastern districts, industry and culture. Since a renovation in 2011 it has shown temporary exhibitions alongside three permanent ones. It fits neatly into a walk around the historic estate.
