Galeria Sztuki XX wieku w willi Oksza

Zakopane, małopolskie

This gallery shows twentieth-century art by painters and sculptors tied to Zakopane and the Podhale region, hung inside Villa Oksza, designed by Stanisław Witkiewicz and built in 1895. The house has had many lives, from a housekeeping school to a children's sanatorium and a holiday home, before a conservation renovation finished in 2010. It opened to visitors in 2011 with an exhibition titled Zakopane – the Navel of the World, and is a branch of the Tatra Museum.
