Frohnauer Hammer
Annaberg-Buchholz, Sachsen
Water power still drives the hammers at this historic forge on the Sehma river, regarded as Germany's oldest smithing museum and, in 1907, Saxony's first listed technical monument. The complex includes the hammer forge, a manor house, an exhibition of forged goods, a free-form hammer and a mechanical Christmas hill. The manor house also holds a bobbin-lace room and an inn. The site is part of the Ore Mountains UNESCO World Heritage mining region.
