Friesenmuseum

Wyk auf Föhr, Schleswig-Holstein

This museum in Wyk is the place to learn about Föhr and North Frisia. It combines natural history and ethnology with the history of the island and the region. It was built in 1908 on the initiative of the doctor Carl Haeberlin, whose portrait hangs by the staircase to the upper floor. The core of the collection was assembled by Philippsen, a teacher from Utersum.
