Friedrich-Fröbel-Museum

In the building in Bad Blankenburg where Friedrich Fröbel opened his first play and activity institute in 1839/40, later known as the kindergarten, this museum honours the inventor of the kindergarten. Its core is furniture, writings and books from his widow's estate, plus items collected by Eleonore Heerwart. Displays cover Fröbel's life and his play materials. The museum has been here since 1982.
