Naturhistorisches Museum Rudolstadt

Rudolstadt, Thüringen

Nature has been collected here since 1757, when Prince Friedrich Karl of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt started a natural history cabinet that is now Thuringia's oldest natural history museum. The collections cover geology and mineralogy, palaeontology, zoology, including vertebrates, invertebrates and taxidermy, and botany. The Meuselbach meteorite is among the highlights.
