Feuerwehrmuseum Nidda

Nidda, Hessen

Housed in Nidda's old pump house on Gerbergasse, a half-timbered building with a hose tower, this museum traces how firefighting developed between about 1850 and 1950. The house opened as the volunteer fire brigade's depot in 1907. It is especially lively during festivals on the market square and vintage-vehicle meets with historic fire engines.
