Fernmeldemuseum Dresden

Dresden, Sachsen

Telephones, switching equipment and telegraphy are the focus of this technology museum near Postplatz. On about 600 square metres on the second floor it shows handsets, private exchanges and working models; nearly all exhibits are connected and operational, and visitors can try some themselves. The second section is a largely faithful reconstruction of a selector hall, as found in many analogue exchanges into the 1990s.
