Around 700 masterworks from the 15th to 18th centuries hang in the Semper Gallery of the Zwinger. The strengths are Italian Renaissance art and 17th-century Dutch and Flemish painting, alongside early German and early Netherlandish works. The collection belongs to the Dresden State Art Collections and goes back to 1560.
