Felix-Nussbaum-Haus

Osnabrück, Niedersachsen

Daniel Libeskind's first completed building is a reason to visit in itself. Inside hangs the largest collection of paintings by Osnabrück-born Felix Nussbaum, over 200 works shown in changing selections. The building is made of intersecting volumes: the oak one holds his prewar art, the concrete one the paintings he made in hiding. An exhibition space also addresses racism and intolerance.
