Ethnologisches Museum Berlin
Berlin, Berlin
Objects from the Sepik River, Hawaii, the Kingdom of Benin, Cameroon, the Andes and Mesoamerica are among the highlights of this ethnological museum, whose collection spans art and everyday culture from outside Europe. Its exhibitions are housed in the Humboldt Forum in the rebuilt Berlin Palace, shared with the Museum of Asian Art. The holdings run to more than 500,000 objects, and trace their origins back to the 17th-century Kunstkammer of the rulers of Brandenburg.
