Ephraim-Palais

Berlin, Berlin

This Rococo house at the edge of the Nikolai Quarter takes its name from the banker Veitel Heine Ephraim, who had it built in the 18th century. It was demolished in 1936 and rebuilt in the 1980s, with elements of the facade restored. Regarded as one of Berlin's finest historic townhouses, it now holds a museum run by the Stadtmuseum Berlin.
