Christbaumständermuseum
Mühlacker, Baden-Württemberg
About 350 Christmas tree stands are on show in Lienzingen's Old Town Hall, a half-timbered building from 1719; the museum holds some 1,300 in all. The oldest date from the mid-19th century and are simple wooden pieces, among them the eye-catching Paradiesgärtlein. Most are cast iron, made in Germany in Art Nouveau style, and about 30 come from the United States. The town believes it is the only museum of its kind in the world.
