Beethoven-Haus
Bonn, Nordrhein-Westfalen
Ludwig van Beethoven was born in this baroque house, built around 1700 on an older vaulted cellar. Behind the stone facade, the museum presents the composer's life and music. It is one of the few surviving middle-class houses from the days of the prince-electors. The neighbouring buildings hold a Beethoven archive with a library, and a chamber music hall.
