Bauhausgebäude Dessau

Dessau-Roßlau, Sachsen-Anhalt

Walter Gropius designed this school building in 1925, and it was completed in 1926 for the Bauhaus. It is regarded as a landmark of interwar modern architecture and is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Bauhaus used it until 1932; war damage and later alterations were reversed by restoring it close to its original state. The Masters' Houses stand nearby.
