Aurnhammer-Sammlung

Braids, tassels, trimmings and delicate lace made from metal wire and thread fill this collection in Treuchtlingen's town palace. The Aurnhammer family bought the building in 1798 and set up the town's first trimmings factory here. Exhibits and family photographs follow the range of production up to the mid-20th century. Around 1880, at the firm's peak, some 700 people worked for it, some of them at home.
