August-Macke-Haus

August Macke lived in this house from 1911 to 1914, and it now honours the Expressionist painter. His studio has been restored, including furniture from his Tegernsee days, and other interiors are reconstructed. A modern extension hosts exhibitions on Expressionism. There is also an archive of Rhenish Expressionism and a reference library.
