Ägyptisches Museum und Papyrussammlung
Berlin, Berlin
Statues, reliefs and small works of art from every period of ancient Egyptian history fill this museum in the Neues Museum on Museum Island, along with a papyrus collection. The star attraction is the bust of Nefertiti, donated by James Simon in 1920. The building, designed by Friedrich August Stüler, reopened in 2009 after reconstruction.
