Stadthistorisches Museum Mainz

Over 2,000 years of Mainz history are covered in this museum on the Citadel, right beside the Drusus Stone. Four permanent exhibitions deal with business and working life in the 19th and 20th centuries, Jewish Mainz, an overview of the city's history, and childhood in Mainz. The last shows mainly 20th-century toys, centred on a complete home puppet theatre from 1925.
