Paper theatre, the miniature stage art made of card, has a museum of its own here, open since 1990 in Philippsruhe Castle in Hanau-Kesselstadt. It is described as the only public specialist museum in Germany devoted entirely to paper theatre. It combines easily with the Historical Museum in the same castle.
