Deutsches Goldschmiedehaus
Hanau, Hessen
Once the old town hall of Hanau's Altstadt, this half-timbered building dates from 1538 and has a stepped gable, a steep gabled roof and a stone base storey. A double-flight outer staircase was added in 1742. Today the house on the Altstädter Markt is devoted to goldsmiths' work.
