The museum fills the Teutonic castle at Malbork, once the capital of the Teutonic Order's state. Its collection exceeds 40,000 items, mostly sculpture, painting and decorative crafts, so a visit combines the history of the Order with an art museum. It also has branches in Kwidzyn and Sztum.
