Museum der Stadt Worms

Worms, Rheinland-Pfalz

Housed in the former Andreasstift, a listed complex with an inner courtyard, this museum tells the story of Worms. On the ground floor a model shows the city as it was in 1689; upstairs are finds from the Neolithic and Bronze Ages and Roman altars, gravestones and tableware. The collection of Roman glass is especially extensive. Further rooms cover the Franks, the Middle Ages and Luther in Worms, and the former cloister holds a lapidarium.
