The local history museum fills three floors of the historic Storchenrathaus and traces more than a thousand years of Höchstadt's past. Its 14 themed rooms cover town development and the market, crafts and guilds, traditional pond farming, popular piety and the naturalist Spix. A model of the town around 1350 is among the exhibits.
