This late Neoclassical house of 1865/66 in Halle's Reideburg district is the birthplace of Hans-Dietrich Genscher. The permanent exhibition, Einheit in Freiheit, covers the tradition of liberalism in Germany, the division of Germany and Europe, the peaceful revolution in the GDR through to German unity, and the road to EU enlargement eastwards.
