Ziegeleimuseum Sondernheim

Germersheim, Rheinland-Pfalz

A brickworks founded in 1834 on the Rhine, firing bricks until 1965, survives here as an industrial monument, with drying sheds, a ring kiln and a forge. The narrow-gauge railway that once carried clay from the pit still runs on open days. White storks and kestrels also live on the site.
