Windmühle Anna

Nübbel, Schleswig-Holstein

A windmill turned local history museum: this earth-mound Dutch mill, built in 1904–05, stands in the middle of Nübbel and shows exhibits on household and farm life, both inside and out. It ran on wind power until 1948, then on a motor until milling stopped in 1973. The building itself is part of the story of the village.
