Westpfälzer Musikantenmuseum Mackenbach

From about 1850 until the First World War, musicians from the western Palatinate travelled far afield, and this museum in Mackenbach's community hall follows their trail. You will see their instruments, historic photos of the musicians' villages and houses, and souvenirs from their journeys. There is also a collection of African instruments. Another theme is the ties between this region and German emigrants, especially in the USA.
